Our Company

In 1980, Ray Schrader founded Schrader Yacht Sales based in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. He started with a few brokerage sailboats, a secretary, Carlene, and his friend and sales associate, Al Frandano. Their first new sailboat line was S2, and after six years, SYS was named dealer of the Year. It has been rumored they invented the 'Boat Show Special'.

In 1986, they began selling Island Packet Yachts with Catalina Sailboats™ coming next. As the sailboat manufacturers expanded into powerboats, so did Schrader Yacht Sales. Ray and Al sold Pearson Motor Yachts, Catalina Power boats, and Packet Cats. In 1995, Ray was asked to manage Canal Point Marina, a facility of over 200 slips. Growing larger, in 1996, Schrader Yacht Sales began selling Parker fishing boats.

In 2005, Schrader Yacht Sales took on the Chris-Craft line of boats. We now have a full service marina, parts department, showroom and Ship's Store. Come see us and our fabulous boats.  You won't be disappointed. Experience the difference!
